Matching "All" or "Any"

In short, All = more exclusive; Any = more inclusive.

Details:

All will return every resource that contains all the selections you make. "All" returns the smallest number of resources and sometimes no resources.

For example, if you select "all" in the Topics section and then select the topics "Civil War" and "Transportation", only resources that have both "Civil War" and "Transportation" as topics will be returned.

 

Any will return every resource that contains at least one of the selections you make. "Any" returns the largest number of resources.

For example, if you select "any" in the Topics section and then select the topics "Civil War" and "Transportation", all the resources that have "Civil War" as a topic, plus all the resources that have "Transportation" as a topic, including all the resources that have both "Civil War" and "Transportation" as topics, will be returned.
